Summary: Curse of the Shaman: A Marble Island Mystery by Michael Kusugak takes place in Canada before it was Canadian territory.
Sometimes even shamans get crabby and send of curses in fits of bad moods. That' what happens to the books main character: baby Wolverine. He is to be cursed as a result of the annoyance the shaman feels by his own baby girl’s crying and crying and crying. The curse results in the ban of the future union of Wolverine to Breath the shaman’s beautiful but cranky baby girl. Now, as a result, Wolverine entire adult life is at risk. The cruse keeps him from loving Breath, living on the land, and living the life that is custom to the natives. Will everything be made right when the shaman lifts the curse?

Reading Log: Curse of the Shaman is a "cool" (in both slang and the literal sense) mystery taking place around the Inuit travels for survival living in igloos and
embracing shamanistic legends. It is fun and breaths new life into old traditions! I think this book was fun and put a new edge on old traditions.
A little something for everybody! I love that it has a mixture of love and adventure and history! A window into a long past world!
